A Dispenser of God’s Mercy & Grace

candy for pez

Do you remember Pez candy dispensers? I remember getting one every Christmas in my stocking. I also remember handing them out as prizes at my children’s birthday parties. They were so much fun; all you did was load the chamber, flip open the lid and out came the candy. Which by the way, was nasty but at the time it didn’t matter; it was worth it.

God’s mercy is just like the Pez dispenser. You load up on alone time with Him, and out pops his miraculous mercy. Once we have had that quality time with him, he then directs us to be a dispenser of His mercy towards others. How do we achieve this?

Mercy is giving something to someone that is undeserving. How many times have you been in a position to show God’s mercy? I have many times and many times I’ve blown it! When we put faith and trust in Jesus Christ and come to him asking for forgiveness; the punishment for our sins is forgiven and FORGOTTEN! That’s grace!!!

So, do unto others as you would have them do to you…That is taught to us in Mark 12:31 and Luke 6:31.

Are you dispensing mercy?

But God, who is right in mercy. because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ(by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been save through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2: 1-5
