The plan was to … Have you ever looked back and asked yourself, “What was the plan?” I have; not just on one occasion but many. What happens when we miss sight of the plan and how can we get back on track?
My life has been a series of twists and turns. I’ve struggled in many areas including my health, my financial status and my personal relationships. I’ve dipped in and out of many self-help books and programs from dieting to climbing the corporate ladder. Consequently, none of those helped me because I lost sight of the plan.
When I have strayed away from God’s plan, I have become anxious and fearful. I have fallen into shameful activities and felt riddled with guilt. When I strayed away, I found it very hard to even remotely hear a tiny word of correction.
How can we get back to the plan set before us?
- Sometimes we have to walk through the mistakes before we can see the plan. Mistakes are just that; they are our ability to manufacture miscalculations. They are unintentional and once we recognize them, God does not want us to cling on any longer. Once we are able to let them go, His detailed plan will become evident again.
- Take the necessary time to think. Reflect on the stages in your life when you were walking the plan and how it felt. When I am walking with His plan in mind, I become wholeheartedly joyfull and the plan radiates peace and happiness.
God will move and He will move supernaturally in your life when you stick to the plan. How do I know? Because I’m walking it right now! He is giving me favor; knowledge and the ability to continue on the road.
