Loneliness Go Away…Declares Beth

letting go

I don’t like feeling sick. I don’t like feeling angry. I don’t like feeling anxious and depressed. But, what I really don’t like is feeling, LONELY.

Being a single woman in a new state is very hard. I am a “people-person” and love to be surrounded by friends, family and a special someone.

All three of my children have grown up and live far away. Just writing that makes me sad. I miss them terribly but I know they are where they need to be at this stage in their lives.

I really want God to fill the loneliness up in me with His presence, but I also want someone to share my life with. I want someone who will help me during my times of trouble. I want someone who will encourage me when I’m down. I want to be the person to help him in his times of need and encourage him when he’s down as well.

As with everything in my life, I want it to be whom God chooses IF he chooses. But, what if He doesn’t? What if there is no one there for me?

I can’t allow any emotions, no matter how strong they may be, rob me from feeling serene. I know God knows what’s best. I know He knows before I even desire or ask what is right for my life.

What about you? Do you have an emotion that’s trying to rob you of your serenity? Are you confident knowing that God knows what’s best for your life? Look at the following promises:

Isaiah 55:8-9(ESV) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 29:11(NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1(ESV) For everything there is a season, and a time for ever matter under heaven:

Psalm 27:14(ESV) Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Let’s keep our serenity and allow the Holy Spirit to fill us with His peace.beth new pic
